Effective pathogen control

Control Gram-negative bacteria.

Pathogen control

Bacterial infections reduce animal health, performance, production and economic output. Bacteria can be classified as either Gram-negative or Gram-positive and differ in the structure of the cell wall. Research shows that certain glycerides have a selective effect on the inhibition of specific pathogens. Furthermore, the different chain lengths of short- and medium-chain glycerides distinguish the anti-bacterial properties of each molecule.

“Applying FRA AC34 improves litter weight and end weight at weaning in swine production.”

Propionic- and butyric acid glycerides

Glycerides of short-chain fatty acids, as from propionic- and butyric acid, are mainly active against Gram-negative bacteria such as Escherichia coli and Salmonella spp. Gram-negative bacteria are mainly affected by interference and destruction of genetic material. This will affect normal cell division and bacterial growth.

Increase weight and performance

Research has shown that applying FRA AC34 improves litter weight and end weight at weaning in swine production. Above that, average daily weight gain (ADWG) significantly increases when applying the product to broiler production. Demonstrating that FRA AC34 is a proper addition to any production cycle.
